A Cup of Joe (no combat)

[Quindaro]

After being on the run from where I used to live I've been hopping around from place to place in different towns doing odd jobs to get money, here it was all the same. I moved into the central city to see if I could actually make an honest living and have some peace in my life...

I started towards the food district, upon entering the street my nose was bombarded by the amounts of aroma's that filled the air. As I walk down the streets I noticed that it was mainly the bakeries and the grill's that had the dominate side of the smells. I walk down a bit farther until I see the best godsend that I could hope for....A coffee shop.

Upon walking in I sit down in a seat near the middle up at the front and order a caramel mocha cappuccino, "I think I might like this place a lot." I say quietly to myself leaning back into the seat. I then dig into my backpack and pull out a little note book and start to jot things down while waiting for my beverage.

Marion walked into the coffee shop, feeling a little thirsty and not seeing any other place to fine a drink. She walked up to the lady and asked for a cup of tea, wanting to have something relaxing and enjoy herself. With a drink in hand, she looked around and then noticed a cute looking boy sitting alone. Should I go talk to him? She stood where she was for a moment as she contemplated where she should sit.

I kept writing notes in the journal before taking a drink, "I wonder..." saying aloud tapping my pen to my lip. I then see a girl out of the corner of my eye looking at me, I pretend not to notice as I go back to writing in the journal.

[Ember]

Marion decides to head over to the boy that is writing and childishly greet him. "Hello~" She smiles widely as the human as she sits down across form him. "I'm Marion, what is your name?~" Her betite stature making her seem like a kid.

[Quindaro]

Hearing someones voice I look up to find the girl who he'd caught a glimpse of was sitting here "Hello~" I say to her smiling "I'm Quindaro" I say holding my hand out to her offering to shake hers.

[Ember]

Marion takes it and kisses his hand, smiling softly. "Thats a nice name." she giggles softly as her neko ears twitched a little. "What are you doing in a place like this?"

[Quindaro]

I close the journal and put it away "I'm just out to find a job and an apartment" I keep quiet about how I'm on the run from Human and Angel authorities alike. I take a drink while glancing over the place to see if anyone suspicious is in here.

[Ember]

"Ohhh~ what kind of job!?~" Marion giggles a little as she ponders what she should do and takes a sip of her tea. "Did you not get anything?" She just noticed how he didn't have a drink or even a donut.

[Quindaro]

I glance over at her bringing my cup up (that I'd been holding on my knee) and setting it on the table "I'm not quite sure where yet..." I say putting my hand to my chin. I then flag down one of the workers and order a small tray of doughnuts (6 doughnuts).

[Ember]

As the donuts arrive, Marion marveled at them a little childishly and looks back at him. "Can I have. one?!" Her shirt falling a little as she bounced, showing the little cleavage she has.

[Quindaro]

I smile "go ahead and take half" I say taking one of the doughnuts and taking a bite.

[Ember]

Without a delay, Marion began to eat the donuts, enjoying the flavor, not noticing her shirt showing her cleavage. "These are delicious!" Almost forgetting about Quin, she looks at him, with a small questioning look. "So what do you do for a living?"

[Quindaro]

I keep my eyes forward knowing not to stare, "What do I do?" I say finishing my second doughnut. I pick up my third, "I used to work for a logging company..." I take a bite "...But then I had to leave and find somewhere else to live...you know, better pay." I say trying to keep my story as close to the truth without telling her the kicker.

[Ember]

"Sounds like you are really strong." Marion smiles softly as she finishes her third donut. "I just help with odd jobs around the city." She now notices her shirt but doesn't do anything about, not really caring if she shows anything.

[Quindaro]

I then take a drink "sounds like you have a good time here" I say watching one of her ears twitch. I finish the last doughnut before taking a gulp of coffee down with it, "So thats what brings me to Central to find some permanent living and a well paid job."

[Ember]

"Yeah, I love it here!~" Marion smiles softly at him and takes a sip from her tea. "I hope you find a good job for you." She tilts a head a little, smiling at him as well.

[Quindaro]

I smile even wider than last "Thank you very much!" I say before finishing my drink. "This girl may be someone useful to have around" I think to myself as I pat her head.

[Ember]

Marion purrs a little and nuzzles into his hand. "Your welcome!~" She finishes her tea as well and waits for him to stop petting her, purring all the while.

[Quindaro]

I take away my hand and look around again to see a couple of Angel patrolmen pass by the shop window, in an instant I picked up the newspaper to the side of me to hide my face "I wonder if there's any jobs listed here..." I say keeping my face hidden from the window.

[Ember]

Marion follows his gaze, seeing a few angels walking down the street. She looks back at Quin, seeing him looking at the newspaper. "Is their something wrong with you and the angels?"

[Quindaro]

I look at her "nah...I just don't favor them particularly" I say looking in the jobs and apartment's page
lowering the paper as they move on.

[Ember]

"So do you have anything planned?" Marion smiled softly, finally deciding to pull her shirt up a little. "Its fine if you do, I'm just curious."

[Quindaro]

I look over at her "not really...I kinda hoped that I could take a week and get to know some of the people here" I say smiling.

[Ember]

"I can help you if you want!~" Marion smiles softly as she purrs lightly. What does he mean by get to know better? A small blush rises on her face as she thinks of such things.

I see her blush "Did I say something weird?" I ask her with a smile as I picked up my bag.
