The problem with demons

I look out at the town from the rooftops as the hustle and bustle of the demons go past below. "This place...a hive? no...and it can't be a nest...a writhing beast in it's slumber" I look over the town again seeing all the demons gladly flaunting their demonic forms. "no wonder why we never get any visitors, any human would be scared to deal with a sight like this" I sigh and close my eyes letting the wind hit me, "what worse kind of place can this be..."

*shyly flutters, but hesitantly approaches the visitor - curious* ....you could join them and fly around too.

Looks up at the being and glances them over for a second then looks away "sorry but i deny my wings and rebuke anything of the like. besides what would that even do no matter what all they are looking out for is for themselves they don't have the decency to mask some of their horrid forms" nods my head towards the demon of three heads whose limbs are falling off him as he walks.

*looks away* ... i-i don't think i'm that horrid- *looks down at her body in concern* ....i used to be human- so......I can't be a monster, right? *uncomfortably remembers her pure past, then the desires the transformation to succubus brought*

Smirks and sighs "so you were changed not by choice i take it" looks at you then closes my eyes "no you aren't horrible if anything you are better than the ones that don't hide their form." Sits up and looks past the succubus, "ever wonder whats the point of us demons even existing up on the surface? i mean most of us don't even need to live up here if anything i feel it spreads fear to the other beings"

..i-i learned to hide my wings recently.. but... the cost means i can't go safely back to my old life yet. so i can appear human, but my personality sorta changes if i do.

"yeah although it would be easier to make peace with yourself and exist as you do now, it could be troublesome if you were to end up exposing yourself to the humans as a demon while your trying so hard to rejoin them" Closes my eyes and looks out to the land. "wonder what the future holds for us demons"

....we stay to ourselves until the angels start up the war again... then most die, and the ones that don't feed on the humans... then the angels try again and the cycle repeats... a-although i've not been a demon long, i can see a pattern.

Nods and sighs "yeah" glances at the being "so tell me who are you?"

... uh.. 'asteel' ..... succubus.. e-even if i didn't pick it..... my body constantly heals and i barely remember feeding at all.. so... i-it's troublesome.

"I see, asteel, I'm kenta, last names are well...not important big family and all that stuff" smiles lightly "sit down i don't mind"

*hesitantly sits and twitches her long, sensitive tail in curiosity* ..... were you ever human-? h-how come you don't look like the others here?

*sighs and looks up* "nobody is asked for what their born into, especially me, i was born into a powerful family with lineage to long ago. I wish i was born human but i know a regular human wouldn't have survived what i went through, i left the big family life and lived in the woods raised myself along with wolves" takes a deep breath "I find town life boring no place ot hone my skill and here you don't have to worry as much about being killed in your sleep as out there" points to the forests.

....i-i was a bit spoiled... had a nice home.. but... not now. *looks away* .... now im a monster.

Chuckles at that remark and puts my hand on her head "funny you also convince yourself to believe your own lies" ruffles her hair "your not a monster if you were you would be like the ones that are out hunting people and murdering right now, you want to stay away from that and do your best to reform into human society, that does not make you a monster"

*uncomfortably drains heat and energy from the hand on her head: wondering if he realizes she can't turn it off* ..... i-i can't go back... i'll consume everything.....

Smiles and points out the demon thats limbs are falling apart "that one tried consuming everything once till he ate the wrong things now he can't stop falling apart." exerts a bit more energy in my hand "have you tried controlling your hunger?"

i-i am... that's the sad part.... if i let out the full hunger, it starts snowing due to lack of heat....so, im really holding it back.

"Snow..ing?" looks puzzled and chuckles "I see, eh i don't mind the cold i love it actually" Looks out across the town seeing the demons busying about.

... if it's humans, i eat souls... if it's anything else, it's just generic energy.. but i can eat things like fire too. - not that i really get a choice.

Frowns slightly and wraps an arm around asteel "your not an abomination you hear, someone that wants to redeem themselves someone that wants to fight to show how good they are are some of the best people out there and i gladly help those that are good down to their soul"

I strode through the demon village, bored, wondering where Asteel ha gone.

*nervously notices her teacher approaching, quiets herself and looks away with her blue eyes* ....s-sorry for running off- just.. noticed someone who i thought was human- and um.. got hungry- *puts up a lame excuse*

Rolls my eyes at the excuse "really? alright go go i'll be around if you need anything" *pulls back my arm and lays down on the roof*

um..... i-it's rare for me to meet a demon who doesn't want me to change.... *mumbles and quiets down as her teacher gets into earshot*
