Resting up [open]

[Tom Bluemann]

I walked into the inn. It had been a very long day at the Weapon's shop and I refused to sleep like a hobo again. I had quite a bit of pocket money so I figured I'd check into the inn for a night to get some much-needed rest. I go over to check myself in. The guy behind the desk gave me a key that unlocked a room on the 2nd floor of the inn. He tells me that it costs a little money to stay a night. so I pay accordingly. I decide to stay in the lobby for awhile, taking a seat.

[Eliza]

Eliza walked around the streets, having just fed. Her pace was quick, and she decided she should duck into an inn for awhile. In her hands clinked money she had stolen from the foolish human. She walked into an inn quickly, then froze. She looked over and saw none other than Tom, to her surprise. "Tom?" She said, eyes full of shock. On her face there was a smear of blood, as if hastily wiped off.

I turn around to see Eliza. It looked like she had just fed. "Well, isn't this a pleasant surprise. What brings you here?"

[Eliza]

Eliza blinked. "I just... And I'm going to get a room..." She said, still slightly flustered. She hadn't expecting to see Tom, that's for sure.

[Tom Bluemann]

"You do that". I turn back around and slump in the chair. I was exhausted.

[Eliza]

Eliza sighed, and went up to the counter. She didn't know there was still blood on her face, and didn't see the weird look from the person behind the counter. "I need a room." She said. The guy nodded, and gave her a key. She dropped the needed amount of coins on the counter, and took her key. She looked over at Tom, considering sitting by him.

[Tom Bluemann]

I almost nod off, but then I force myself to stay awake for awhile longer.

[Eliza]

Eliza sighed. She didn't want him to fall asleep when he bought a room. She sat next to him, poking his shoulder. "Tom... Don't fall asleep." She said.

[Tom Bluemann]

"Trying not to". I sigh, slumping into the chair more. "It's just been a long day for me...".

[Eliza]

Eliza blinked, the blood still on her face. "Oh? Maybe telling me would keep you awake?" She asked, smiling slightly.

[Tom Bluemann]

I sit up, smiling. "Alright then, I'll tell ya". I take a breath. "This morning I woke up on a park bench. Then I made my way to the weapons shop, where I hold a job as a crafter from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m....today a whole group came in with such diverse weapon requests. I finished them as fast as I could, but they still complained about how long it took...then a kid came in and took a dagger. I had to chase him down 3 blocks to get the dagger back. But I believe the most eventful part of the day is when a duo of individuals came in, one got their weapon for free cause I lost her game. The other went to crafting his own weapons..." I blush a tad. "The girl was kinda cute too..."

[Eliza]

Eliza's heart lurched as she heard his last sentence, but took a deep breath, remembering they were just friends. "Oh wow. That's a lot. I didn't do much." Hurt was hidden in her tone, but it could be easily heard. "I just, uh... Well... Never mind." She said, shaking her head, thinking about her uneventful day, except for the past hour.

[Tom Bluemann]

I notice Eliza sounded hurt. "Uh...Not as cute as you though!" A give a somewhat nervous smile. "Real smooth talker aren't ya?" I thought to myself

[Eliza]

Eliza shook her head. "Don't worry." She took a deep breath. "We are just friends. I understand you would think another girl better then me." She said with a slight smile.

[Tom Bluemann]

"Oh...okay then". I give a slight sigh of relief. "Still though, that kid basically trashed my day..."

[Eliza]

Eliza laughed a little. "Sounds like how my brother used to be." She chuckled, remembering Casper.

[Tom Bluemann]

"It's a good thing the old man who employed me never found out, or I could've been docked in pay...and I don't get paid much as it is..."

[Eliza]

Eliza gently placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, it's ok. At least you get something." She said cheerfully.

[Tom Bluemann]

"Yeah, I suppose..." I see she had some blood on her face. "Uh...you've got some blood on your face still..."

[Eliza]

Eliza blushed heavily. "Oh sorry." She quickly tried to get the rest of it off, but failed. She looked at him again.

[Tom Bluemann]

"uh...still on there, one moment..." I go grab a moist towelette and come back. "Use this"

[Eliza]

Eliza grabbed the towel and used it to wipe of the rest of the blood. It was gone, but her face was still bright red with embarrassment.

[Tom Bluemann]

"Better now?". I smirk. "Blood's gone, but now you're face is red"

[Eliza]

Eliza smiled nervously. "Y-Yeah. Just embarrassed." She told him, rubbing the back of her head.

[Tom Bluemann]

I chuckled. "Don't be, I just helped you out is all". I glance around. "Man, do I need some sleep...best I head to the room number that's listed on this key..." I stare at the key. It read B19. That was the room I was staying in.
