So to clarify, the attack is blockable but if it's not blocked it'll eat away at the persons flesh? also is there a diameter of the hole? one more thing remove the goreish pic please it's unnecessary.

i was thinking around 5-6 since it would seem a bit insane to have a hole that nearly covered a persons entire arm.

That is true, but people in this rp have to know to wear armor as a weapon, a rp without such dense will just make my attack eat them alive.

As long as they have "weapon" armor that is physical it wont eat away at their armor. So yep, just make sure your armor is head to toe.
