Zuriel smiled at Sena. "Don't worry Sena. She's ok. We just went to the forest for a little while." He said innocently, looking up at her as he held Eden.

"Here, let me take her" Sena scooped Eden up and put her on the couch. "Thank you for taking care of her, she must have been a bother." She chuckled.

Zuriel shook his head, following her into the house. "No, actually. We went hunting, and she helped me spot the rabbit I caught." He said.

"Eden? Hunting? I'm surprised she helped out with that..." Sena looked down at the sleeping Eden in deep thought.

Zuriel nodded. "Yeah. I'm going to teach her how to shoot a bow, if you don't mind." He said, realizing he should have asked Sena.

Sena looked surprised for a brief moment then gave a small smile. "That would be nice. She should learn how to defend herself. Thank you." She returned to the house work after patting Zuriel on the should in appreciation.

Zuriel smiled happily, then his face turned to anger. His fist clenched. "I heard... Some guy was bothering you and Eden at the market?" He said, his temperature going down.

Sena stared blankly at Zuriel, "guy," she remembered, "oh, yeah! It's nothing, he's just a dirty old man. We usually get away from him." She continued doing the dishes.

Zuriel blinked. "Usually?" He said, nearly grinding his teeth. Just the thought of anyone hurting Sena or Eden made him want to freeze everything. The room temperature seemed to drop a little bit as his anger made him start to chill the water in the air.

Sena shivered a little, "are you okay, Zuriel?" Eden huddled in a ball on the couch.

Zuriel looked angry. "You said usually. Did he ever hurt you? Or EDEN?" He growled, staring angrily at the ground.

"Y-yes... Just once though..." Sena looked away and rubbed her arm. Eden shivered a little.

Zuriel growled again. "What did he do to you? Did he hurt Eden?" He asked, the temperature dropping again.

"No, he didn't. He just hit me a few times..." Sena went back to doing the dishes with sagged shoulders.

Zuriel growled again. "I'd like him to try again when I'm anywhere near him..." He said, then looked over at the shivering Eden. The temperature went back up, and her gently put a hand on her head. He felt bad, and rubbed her head.

Eden slowly went back into a relaxed state and breathed softly. Sena kept washing the dishes, the scene playing in her head.

Zuriel kept rubbing Edens head gently, sitting on the couch next to her. He smiled gently, still in big brother mode.

Sena finished her work and sat next to Zuriel. "How was your day?" She dried her hands with a towel then set it on the back of the couch.

Zuriel looked at Sena with a small smile. "Pretty good. I got a rabbit, cougar, and a bear today. I'm going to sell the pelts and maybe the meat, buy Eden a bow, and give you the rest as payment for letting me stay with you." He said, still smiling.

"Oh, you don't have to give me the rest of it!" Sena put her hands up and smiled. "So, you got a bear? All by yourself? I'm glad you're okay." She put her hands on her lap.

Zuriel nodded, looking a little nervous. "Yes... Not sure if you want to know this but... The cougar and bear were after Eden, so I had to kill them." He said, looking at Eden protectively again.

"Oh, that's not really a surprise. She's always been a target from all sort of animals. Thank you for saving her!" Sena gave Zuriel a tight hug.

Zuriel chuckled nervously, letting her hug him. "Your welcome. I couldn't bare the thought of her... Getting hurt. Or you." He told her, his feet swinging.

"I really appreciate it, Zuriel." Sena pat him on the head then went to the bathroom. Eden stirred in her sleep and propped her feet on Zuriel's lap.

Zuriel nodded, smiling at Eden. He gently put her on his lap, cradling her. He wanted to protect her, even with his life. He felt like her big brother.
