Walking the forest

[Eliza]

Jake walked through the forest in king cheetah form. His predator eyes scouted the area as he looked for somewhere to stay for the night. Soon he found a good tree, it was thick and had low branches. He shifted into a human, and climbed up the tree to a specifically fat branch. He shifted again, laying comfortably in the tree. "I miss you nanny." He thought, looking at the ground.

[Rya]

I come running in through the trees, my tail swinging. I climb a tree and decide to travel in the trees. I start leaping from branch to branch. This id fun!

[Eliza]

Jake looked up as he heard the branches shaking. He stood on the branch and looked at the girl jumping from tree to tree. A small smile appeared as he saw her tail and ears. He shifted into human form. "Hello?" He called out, trying to get her attention.

[Rya]

I hear a voice and get scared. I fall out of the tree and land on my butt. "Ouch!" I get up and hide behind a tree, hugging my tail wondering where the voice came from.

[Eliza]

Jake jumped down from the tree, a little worried about the girl. He watched as she hid behind a tree. He could see a little bit of her clothing. "I can still see you." He said in a gentle voice.

[Rya]

I jump and run up the tree. "P-please don't hurt me!" I try to get to where he can't see me.

[Eliza]

Jake watched her climb the tree with interest. He loved cats, so he had conflicted feelings about her. "Why would I hurt you?" He asked in confusion. He walked a bit closer to the tree in range of her sight.

[Rya]

"E-everyone else hurts me. What makes you different?" I leap to another tree.

[Eliza]

Jake furrowed his eyebrows. "I dislike hurting cats. I love them." He answered, yawning. He was missing a cat nap, but he was intrigued by the girl.

[Rya]

I slowly climb lower in the tree but not yet out of the tree. I'm not sure if I can trust him yet. "Wish other people didn't hurt cats."

[Eliza]

Jake clenched a fist. "Me as well. People who hurt cats deserve to die..." He said, his tail twitching. His ears rotated around a few times, then they turned back to the tree with the girl.

[Rya]

I climb back up a few branches. He seems kinda violent. I don't like violent people. "I-I wouldn't go that far."

[Eliza]

Jake sighed. "I wouldn't kill them myself. I couldn't. But... It just me so frustrated when I see it. Those cats deserve better lives." He said, yawning again.

[Rya]

"I-it's true. It's not right. I envy the cats who haven't gone through what I have."

[Eliza]

Jake suddenly looked intrigued. "What? Someone hurt you?" He asked, looking frustrated again. His tail lashed behind him.

[Rya]

"I wish I was just beaten. They.... They used me as a sex slave."

[Eliza]

Jake froze. His nostrils flared, and his ears laid back. Suddenly he had a change of heart and looked at her. His eyes were gentle. "I'm so sorry you went though that. If I'd have been there... I would have defended you." He said. "No one should go through that." He added.

[Rya]

"T-thanks." I jump down from the tree but keep my distance. "I never got your name. I'm Rya."

[Eliza]

Jake smiled. "Nice to meet you. I'm Jake." He said, ears twitching a bit. He was normally mean to strangers, but her cat like appearance broke that wall the second he saw her.

[Rya]

"Nice to meet you Jake." I smile at him and let go of my tail. I take a few steps toward him as my tail swings from side to side.

[Eliza]

Jake yawned again. He looked around the woods for a moment, then looked back at her. "Why are you out here?" He asked, tail swaying behind him.

[Rya]

"I was just going for a run. Then I thought it'd be fun to run through the trees. It was." I smile at him.

[Eliza]

Jake yawned again. "I live out here, in case you were wondering." He said, smiling. "All though I'd probably beat you in a race." He laughed.

[Rya]

I notice he keeps yawning. "Tired?" I like at him up and down. "You probably would win."

[Eliza]

Jake laughed. "A little." He purred. "I'd hope so. I am a cheetah." He chuckled. He shook his head slightly with a friendly smile on his face.
