I dodge away from the swing. "Not the first time someone tried to use a weapon against me". I then proceed to do a low-sweep kick.

Sterling's recoil made him fail to realize the sweep, and he fell over, landing on his hands. His slender image gives him an advantage in things like this. Seeing the staff fallen over, Sterling knew he would have to rely on his combat skills.

I get up. "Come on dude, I'm not gonna hit you while you're down".

[Nikolai Forge]

"I respect that in a man," Sterling said as he pushed his hands up and aimed a swift punch at the aggressor's face. "I wasn't technically down, seeing as to how the palms of my feet were touching the ground"

[Tom Bluemann]

I block the punch. "I suppose you put up a good point. Be careful though, or you might just end up back down on the ground". I had a look of confidence on my face.

"This time, I won't go down so easily." Sterling said as he attempted a knee to the stomach of his aggressor. "Now this gets interesting."

I am kneed. "Oof...you got that right". I quickly regain my barrings. "Alright, time for the roundhouse special!" I spin like a top, using a strong gust of wind in an attempt to plow through my opponent.

Sterling sidesteps, again barely missing the kick. He noticed that the wind had cut a hole in his outfit. "And this was my favorite too!"

[Tom Bluemann]

My feet skid across the ground kicking up some dust. "Oh, did I accidentally make a tear in your outfit?". I scratch my head. "Well, you have my apologies for that". I get back into a fighting stance.

[Nikolai Forge]

"It's cool. I'm a great sewer so there's really no problem. That in addition to being a pawnbroker. Tell me, what is your work?"

[Tom Bluemann]

"Well, I guess you could say I'm a drifter. I've never really been able to hold a job, but I do make a hobby out of crafting things. Some of the stuff I craft goes for quite a bit on the market as far as buyers tell me".

[Nikolai Forge]

"Hm. I get to see a lot of crafted things as well. Gold goes for much in the city. I can pass you a job. You just have to know how to make negotiations."

[Tom Bluemann]

"Sure, I can do that. Now then, back to our little sparing session, hm?" I then proceed do use my wind magic to cause a small twister.

I chuckled I myself quietly as I watched the little spar play out "neither of them are trying...?" I inquired to myself, wondering if they understood that a spar is a serious fight but without casualties. I opened up void infront of me, tenting the visibility, the type that appears to just be a ripple of air. I thought for a second before I decided to make things interesting if they wouldn't, ready to redirect some attacks.

Sterling sensed a presence throughout the arena. "We are not alone, my friend. A demon is carefully watching this fight," he said as he looked around. "He seems like he's going to do something....."

[Tom Bluemann]

I turn around and see another demon, on I had met before. "I remember him. I turned down a little offer of his. He must want payback for me saying no". I get into a position where I could fire some life energy at any time.

[Nikolai Forge]

Sterling planned to fire another Arcane Shot, but was hesitant. The demon seemed like he was readying an attack. The Arcane Mage didn't know what to do at this moment.........

[Tom Bluemann]

"Yo, you gonna do something up there or do we have to come up there and do something for ya?"

[Nikolai Forge]

Sterling interrogates the Fallen, "So you know this guy from somewhere. He seems like he was looking for you."

[Keira]

"Actually.... The demon Mage..? That what they call you?" I spoke with a calm tone, realizing they had spotted me "I'm looking for you..." I appeared between them, with a file in my hand "I'd love to recruit you to the shades.... And I'm here to ask your friend a second time.

[Tom Bluemann]

"Look, I'm not joining your little angel extermination squad. Sure, some of them have become corrupt with their opinions on you demons. Not to mention there is an archangel with a bounty on my head, but I know that without any pacts, I can overcome those guys and truly restore order to this land, instead of this peaceful tension".

[Nikolai Forge]

"What is this Shade you talk about, fellow demon?" Sterling replied. Seeing as to the way that the Fallen talked of it, it was some clan hellbent on erradicating the Angels. Now Sterling never liked Angels, and never did he think about joining a crusade to eliminate them completely. He was dumbfounded, unsure of his next reaction. "Tell me, what does this squad do?"

Esentially.... It's the demons strongest forces...." I said ignoring the angel fortune time being "for example, powerful angels that pose a constant threat to our species..... We are an unofficial group.... Sent to destroy the other races most threatening forces incase of a war.... But the squad as been trimmed down as of late..." I took a deep breath before turning to the angel "well... With that attitude I'd say..... 3 months o live..... If that..."

"And you need others, some who don't think that angels need to be flat out eliminated, for help?"

[Nikolai Forge]

"I believe that there is a better way. Instead of eliminating every single member of a race, just level those that pose a threat to the world."
