I begin to notice the way she was acting after I had received my food. "Uh...have you eaten much of anything lately?"

Eliza shook her head. "It's been days." She said, holding her head. Her eyes were hidden under white hair. "I'll, I'll get something tomorrow." She said, waving a hand. If he saw her eyes though, he'd seen the pain she was in. Her head throbbed and her stomach felt like it was eating itself.

I attempt to stare deep into her psyche, and when I do I sensed a pain inside that ran deep.

Eliza looked up at him, her golden eyes showing the pain he sensed. "What?" She asked, watching him stare at her. "I'm fine." She said, putting on a normal face, and a fake smile.

"No...there is definitely some deeper pain involved..." I continue to stare into her eyes intensely.

Eliza dropped the face, shaking her head. "I'm just a little hungry..." She said, staring down at the table. "I'll be fine." She sighed.

"If you say so". I shrug and stop staring so deeply. I then begin to eat my food.

Eliza sighed with relief. She knew he knew the truth, but he didn't keep pushing. She appreciated that. Her stomach growled again, and she shook her head again. She looked up and began tapping her fingers on the table, resting her head on her hand. She was going to wait until he was done eating.

I continue to eat until a question comes into my mind. I swallow and then pop the question: "So...what do you eat exactly?"

Eliza stared at him in disbelief. Was his memory that bad? "Uh, hello? I don't think there are any lights on in that skull of yours. Vampires drink blood, it's kinda why people hate us?" She said, narrowing her eyes at him slightly.

A sweat-drop trickles down my face. "Oh yeah...perhaps I should rephrase the question. Is there anything else you consume besides blood?"

Eliza sighed. "I can eat normal food, but I don't like to. I don't need to, and I don't really like it, so I just don't. It doesn't help." She explained. She noticed he looked nervous. "We've already talked about this Tom, I'm not going to do anything to you." She reminded him.

"Good to know". My mind then proceeds to wander as I finished eating the pasta.

Eliza looked at him again. "You done?" She asked, already reaching into her pocket. She pulled out a few coins and dropped them on the table. "I scared you half to death earlier. It's the least I can do." She said before he could say anything.

Eliza smiled back at him, and got up from her seat. She brought a hand up to her head, trying to help with her head ache, but she still smiled.

I was a tad worried of her condition at this point. "Perhaps a drink of water would help that headache?"

Eliza shook her head. "Hunger pains." She said, and laughed it off. Rubbing the back of her head, she grinned sheepishly.

Eliza shrugged. "Do you wanna walk around for a bit? We could just talk for awhile." She asked, looking hopeful for him to accept.

Eliza walks to the exit, still holding her head. She turned back to see if he was keeping up, then walked out onto the sidewalk.

I rushed to catch up with her and soon we were both walking down the sidewalk of a somewhat crowded street.

Eliza didn't feel comfortable. "So uh, do you know anyone else in this town?" She asked, desperate to break the silence.

I shrug. "Not personally, but I have met several people while in town. They've ranged from humans with strange powers to demons shredding up the city".
